When you scan a transaction QR-code with your ZERO and you get this error, this means that your ZERO doesn’t ‘know’ the address you’re trying to send from.
Possibly you may not have your passphrase wallet open anymore or you simply still need to add the account on ZERO. If you’re using firmware version 1.4, you need to update to get rid of the error.
Let’s take a closer look at the possible causes
1/ “Check that you are signing with the correct ZERO or Passphrase wallet”
If you’re trying to send a transaction form an address in your passphrase wallet, you need to have the same passphrase wallet open on your ZERO to sign the transaction.
If you don’t have the same passphrase wallet opened on your ZERO, you will get this error message. You will also get this error message when you try to sign a transaction with a different ZERO
A common reason is that when the ZERO goes in standby mode or is turned off, the passphrase will need to be entered again to open that passphrase wallet.
2/ “Check that the account your are signing a transaction for has been added in this ZERO wallet”
When you add a new account in LIQUID, you also need to have the same account on ZERO. If you try to send a transaction from your BTC account no. 3, for example, you need to make sure that you also have added that BTC account no. 3 on ZERO too. Otherwise you will get this error.
To add an account on ZERO, simply tap on a coin and then on the plus sign in the top right corner.
3/ Your ZERO is still on firmware version 1.4
There is a bug in firmware 1.4 (released in December 2023) that could lead to this error being displayed when it is not needed.
The best solution is to update your firmware to the latest version.
Alternatively, if the transaction is urgent and you don’t have the chance to update first, you can add any ERC20 token to the ZERO dashboard to get rid of the error.
